Nitmiluk
We spent 3 nights in Nitmiluk National Park known to most of us as Katherine Gorge. This was just a few quiet days to catch up with some school work, washing, repairs, and generally slow down a little and take a breath.
We did manage to walk 12k with the kids to Butterfly Gorge and canoed the length of the first gorge, but drew the line at the boat tour and helicopter trip!
Katherine itself was gearing up for the annual show. It was an amazing time to be in town. It was a shame that we did not extend or stay to catch some of the show.
We are now overnighting at Timber Creek, on the way to Bullo River Cattle station where we will spend the next week, before moving on to Western Australia and the Kimberly.

Love the canoeing and the kookooburra. What good walkers you are.
